Steve Earle Announces Launches Camp Copperhead Songwriting Camp
Wanna become a hardcore troubadour? Maybe you should consider hitting up Camp Copperhead,a new songwriting camp running from July 7-11 hosted by none other than Steve Earle.
Earle taught his first course in 2000, leading a group of pickers and singers through the rights and wrongs of songwriting at Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music. 12 years later, he did the same at Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch workshop in the Appalachian foothills. He’ll head north for the Camp Copperhead sessions, though, setting up shop at the Full Moon Resort in upstate New York. The camp has enough room for 100 students, and Earle will be the sole instructor there.
